Ousmane Dembele's future remains a mystery, even with the 2021/22 season almost at its end.
The Barcelona winger's contract expires at the end of the current campaign and, despite Xavi Hernandez's desire for him to stay, no renewal has yet been agreed.
Dembele was destined to leave the club before Xavi took over, but the Catalan coach temporarily found a way to get the best out of the Frenchman. He has, though, since fallen back out of form.
PSG offer on the table
Now RMC Sport are reporting that the 24-year-old's representatives have been in regular contact with Paris Saint-Germain since the January transfer window, and the French side have put an offer on the table for him.
It's been reported, though, that Dembele is waiting to know more about the project at PSG before committing. Specifically, he wants to know whether or not Kylian Mbappe will be at the Parc des Princes next season, as well as who will replace Mauricio Pochettino as head coach over the summer.
Other outlets have said that the French giants are offering 17 million euros a year to Dembele, a sum that Barcelona simply cannot match.
Dembele could still stay at the Camp Nou, however. Barcelona CEO Mateu Alemany is set to meet with the player's agent, Moussa Sissoko, in an attempt to find an agreement, but they remain hamstrung by their financial situation.
