The striker is hopeful a move to Barcelona can be finalised this month
The Robert Lewandowski saga is moving into the final phase. Bayern Munich, for now, do not want to negotiate a transfer directly with Barcelona but the player's agent, Pini Zahavi, is starting to put pressure on both teams to sit down and talk.
Per Sport1, Lewandowski has already warned Bayern he has no intention of re-joining the team for pre-season, scheduled fo the start of July, because he does not want to return to the club.
Lewandowski has a clear strategy and is putting pressure on the German side privately and publicly. Bayern were reluctant to let him leave, but they also don't want a problem in the dressing room on their hands.
Despite that, they are still playing their cards to ensure they get the most possible money for a striker who will be 34 this summer and has one year to run on his contract.
The Polish international's camp want a resolution quickly. Barça are calm and have told Lewandowski they want to sign him whatever happens.
There is an agreement over a three-year deal and the Catalan club are working on their financial problems to be able to push a transfer through, which could happen in the second of June, with an announcement in early July.
Everyone wants Lewandowski to be able to start pre-season with his new team.
