The French defender will make the move to London in the coming hours

Clement Lenglet's departure from Barcelona is imminent. The central defender will leave the club on loan for English side Tottenham Hotpur.

SPORT revealed earlier on Monday that Lenglet had given the green light to the operation and it is not set to be announced in the coming hours.

The journalist Fabrizio Romano says that, pending the final few details, the agreement is now in place between Barcelona and Spurs.

Barça coach Xavi had given Lenglet an extra week off -- he was not among those to return for preseason on Monday -- to enable to him to find a new club.

As Tottenham, the centre-back hopes to find regular football and play himself back into the France squad before the World Cup.
