That includes both of their Champions League quarterfinal matches against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, as Los Blancos won on penalties to progress to the next round with the chance to win the competition for the 15th time.

The most recent game between the pair was the aforementioned 4-1 rout by Real Madrid in the final of the Spanish Super Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a Brazilian tour de force as Vinicius Jr. bagged a first-half hattrick and Rodrygo completed the demolition.
