It is widely believed that, at the end of this season, Erling Haaland could be on the move for a reduced price, but Borussia Dortmund won't be letting him go without a fight.

The German club are readying themselves to make a big push to keep the Norwegian marksman and are prepared to almost double his wages.

Haaland is currently on nine million euros a year and reports from Sky in Germany suggest that the club are looking to up that to around 16m euros to 18m euros.

Crucially, this potential new deal would not change the striker's release clause, but it would extend his current contract.

As things stand, in summer 2022 Haaland could be available for 75m euros. That's a relative bargain in today's market for Europe's elite clubs, a fact which Dortmund are acutely aware of.

The 21-year-old has 13 goals and eight assists in 10 games in all competitions this season.
