Erling Haaland is currently spending some time away from the pitch due to injury, but he cannot escape media speculation about his future, although Borussia Dortmund head coach Marco Rose has appealed for some calm and insists the club will be prepared for whatever happens.
The German coach was playing it cool and gave the impression that the issue is not a daily concern within the club, despite the constant media attention.
Ready for the big decision
"I know how long his contract is," Rose told Bild Sport.
"I know what needs to be decided and when. Everything is on the table internally, everyone is being honest with each other.
"That's why I don't need to talk to him about this every day. At some point he'll make a decision and the club will prepare for that. Of course we all want him to stay."
There have been reports recently of friction between the player and Dortmund directors, but Rose played this down as natural given the tension of the situation.
"He's only 21 years old, he can have a more emotional day as well and go home after training, be alone, read something and be annoyed," said Rose.
"Everything weighs on him and sometimes there's a straw that breaks the camel's back. It's normal, human.
"I have contact with Erling every day and I am very fond of him as a player and a person."
