Robert Lewandowski has revealed his favourite ever Formula 1 driver whilst rumours about his own future continue to swirl.
Lewandowski's future has been one of the most talked-about issues in recent weeks as the Bayern Munich star wants to leave and his destination could be Barcelona, but, of course, it doesn't look like an operation that is going to be carried out easily.
Be that as it may, the Pole is also using his time to escape the pressure and Lewandowski was present at the Monaco Grand Prix at the invitation of Aston Martin.
They published an interview with the striker and, in his statements, Lewandowski shows himself to be a great F1 fan.
"I have followed F1 since I was very young and I always remember Michael Schumacher," the striker said.
"What he did, what he achieved, was incredible. It was... It was something really incredible."
Lewandowski reflects on his own career
In the interview, Lewandowski explained what it took for him to become one of the best strikers in the world.
"From a very young age I dreamed of playing in big stadiums, in the biggest games, in front of thousands of fans," he said.
"To do that, I knew I had to work harder than others to get to the top.
"I kept telling myself 'No matter how good I am, I can always be better'.
"Sometimes the journey to the top can be hard, but staying there is even harder."
He also explained that in order to reach perfection as a sportsperson the hard work must never stop.
"It's about constantly working hard to keep improving, that's the only way you'll get closer to perfection," he said.
"Even if you are very skilled and talented, you must always stay focused. Of course, when you achieve something important you can celebrate, but the next day you have to be ready for the next challenge."
