Bayern Munich will face Borussia Dortmund in the DFL-Supercup, which will feature two of the finest strikers worldwide in Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland.
In the press conference ahead of the game, one which will take place on Tuesday at the Westfalenstadion, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann compared the styles of play of the two forwards and stressed that they have many similarities but that they are still different players.
"I think Lewandowski has shown for several years the high level at which he is capable of playing," said Nagelsmann.
"He is a world-class player. That is a very big difference.
"Erling [Haaland] hasn't been in the Bundesliga that long, but his numbers are very good.
"Even so, it is remarkable to have so much success and to score so many goals over several years in different clubs and to help the club, in Lewandowski's case.
"Robert is a bit older than Erling, so he has more experience.
"What they have in common is that both are very dangerous in front of goal and can finish with any part of the body.
"Lewandowski is very good in the air and can kick [the ball] with both feet and I think so can Erling.
"There are many similarities, but they are still different players.
"Lewandowski is a prominent striker between the lines, participating in combinations and offering himself to teammates. It is difficult to mark him. I am very happy to have Lewandowski."
