In their fourth group game, AC Milan managed to get their first point on the board in this season's Champions League by drawing 1-1 at home with Porto.

The visitors were the better side, particularly in the first half and deserved their early lead, which came courtesy of Colombian winger Luis Diaz. The Dragons' high press paid dividends when Marko Grujic robbed Ismael Bennacer and did well to set up Luis Diaz, whose finish was composed.

Just after the hour mark, however, the hosts had one back, even if they needed a stroke of good fortune in the process. Porto defender Chancel Mbemba turned the ball into his own net after Pierre Kalulu had fired it low across the six-yard box.

Both sides pushed for the winner in the closing stages with a sense of urgency. AC Milan were desperate to keep their European hopes alive, while Porto knew they had a chance to steal a lead on Atletico Madrid before they took on Liverpool at Anfield.

Ahead of the game at Anfield, Porto now sit one point ahead of Atleti with five, four behind leaders Liverpool.

In the next round of games, it will be the Portuguese team's turn to travel to Anfield, while Los Colchoneros will host AC Milan, who will likely need to win to have any hope of even finishing third.
