Liverpool have not said their last word in the Premier League title race as goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ryan Gravenberch and Diogo Jota saw them expel the anxieties of the Crystal Palace loss in a 3-1 win against Fulham, with Timothy Castagne denying Allison a cleansheet.

The opening goal of the afternoon came when the Red's mercurial left-back, Alexander-Arnold, fired a freekick into the top corner from around 25 yards out, with the goalkeeper having no chance in the 32nd minute.

It was something Real Madrid perhaps noticed as they bid to pick up his services according to the rumors. But then Liverpool suffered a setback and the test of their mentality when Marco Silva's Fulham levelled just after the start of the second half.

In the 45+2nd minute, Alex Iwobi headed back to Muniz, whose shot was blocked as Liverpool threw bodies on the line. Unfortunately for Allison, between the sticks, it fell to Castagne around the penalty spot and the right-back fired low into the far corner to level the game.

But Liverpool passed the mentality test with flying colors when Gravenberch restored the lead just eight minutes into the second half.

A poor cross-field pass was cut out by Harvey Elliot, returning to the club who gave him his debut, and he passed to the Dutchman close to the box D. He then took one touch and sublimely curled into the top corner, with the goalkeeper once again having no chance.

Whatever Klopp said in the dressing room had clearly worked a treat as Liverpool didn't wait much longer to kill the game dead, going 3-1 up at Craven Cottage in the 72nd minute when Cody Gakpo slipped Jota inside.

The Portuguese forward fired across goal on his left foot and it squirmed past Bernd Leno to seal the game for the away side, with the Fulham shotstopper no doubt feeling disappointed in himself.

Liverpool refuse to give up on Klopp's farewell title

Jurgen Klopp's boys showed no sign of a Europa League elimination hangover as they bounced back to continue holding the pulse of Arsenal and Manchester City.

The Reds are now second with the same points as the Gunners. They are one point ahead of the Cityzens with a game more than Pep Guardiola's team as the battle for the English title seems set to last until the final day again.

The result sees Liverpool move level with Arsenal on 74 points, second on goal difference, whilst Manchester City are one point behind the pair although they have an extra game to be played.
