Many Premier League players are refusing to be vaccinated against COVID-19, and only a third have been given both doses.
Only seven of the 20 teams have managed to vaccinate over half of their squad, with three clubs not vaccinating even 10 percent of their players.
The majority of Newcastle United's squad have not received their jabs as of yet, while Leeds United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Southampton and Brentford have vaccinated over 90 percent of their personnel.
Conspiracy theories which have been doing the rounds on social media have been attributed to the low uptake of the vaccine among players.
"It's very frustrating and hard to know what to do, as the conspiracy theories have really taken hold in some dressing rooms," one club doctor told the Daily Mail.
"We've got senior players, intelligent men, coming out with all sorts of nonsense and they won't be budged. One of them told me he didn't need the vaccine because he could boost his immunity by taking vitamins.
"Some of the stuff they're reading - and believing - on the internet is incredible.
"Players are saying that it will make them infertile, that it's part of a plot involving Bill Gates, that the pandemic is just propaganda. The real problem is that they're also polluting the minds of younger players."
Premier League sides have been assured that players who are unvaccinated will still be allowed to play, even if vaccine passports become obligatory to attend matches.
