Carlo Ancelotti has called up 24 players for Real Madrid's Supercopa de Espana campaign in Saudi Arabia, which includes Dani Carvajal and Luka Jovic.

Gareth Bale, however, misses out having not yet recovered from injury, and Mariano Diaz is also unavailable.

"He has a problem with his back, which is a bit overloaded. He is not feeling well, he cannot push [himself to] one hundred percent," Ancelotti said at a recent press conference.

"And until then he cannot be involved."

The Welshman has played just three games this season, for a total of 193 minutes, scoring one goal.

He has not played for Madrid since August 28, and it appears as though it will be a sad goodbye for the forward with his contract set to expire in the summer.
