The new Estadio Bernabeu is already generating revenue for Real Madrid and on Wednesday, the club formalised an agreement with investment group Sixth Street and US sports entertainment group Legends for the operation of the venue, which will bring the club income of 360 million euros, a figure officially confirmed by Los Blancos.

The agreement was officially ratified on Wednesday by Real Madrid's board of directors, although it was not until Thursday that it was made official.

"The transformation of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu will be a turning point in the history of Real Madrid," said Florentino Perez.

"This alliance will be fundamental in providing unique experiences in a stadium where multiple events can be hosted throughout the year."

Real Madrid have confirmed that the agreement with Sixth Street will run for 20 years, while there is no specific duration for the Legends agreement.

Major investment

With this agreement, the club is beginning to capitalise on the heavy investment made in the radical process of transforming the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

The construction work began in 2019, after navigating a complex bureaucratic system, and should be completed in December of this year, when the 75th anniversary of the inauguration of the stadium built by the legendary former president Bernabeu in 1947 will be celebrated.

A ground-breaking redevelopment project that includes a roof for the stadium and the installation of a retractable pitch that will allow the stadium to host all kinds of events on most days of the year.

The Board of Directors of Real Madrid C.F. at its meeting yesterday ratified an agreement with Sixth Street, an investment firm, and Legends, a premium experiences company for sports and live venue organizations, with the objective of elevating the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium as a unique venue and a worldwide benchmark for leisure and entertainment.

As part of the long-term partnership, Real Madrid will receive approximately 360m to be invested across any of the Club's activities. 

Through this alliance, Sixth Street acquires the right to participate in the operation of certain new businesses of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium for twenty years.

In addition, Legends will contribute its experience and knowledge in the operation of large stadiums and leisure centers, allowing for the optimization of the management of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

The transformation of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium will be a turning point in the history of Real Madrid.

This alliance with Sixth Street and Legends, world leaders in their respective disciplines, will be fundamental in providing unique experiences in a stadium where multiple events can be hosted throughout the year.
