Gareth Bale stressed that he is not ready to hang up his boots too soon after leading Wales to 2022 World Cup qualification, following a 1-0 victory over Ukraine in the playoffs.

His contract with Real Madrid will come to an end this summer and there has been speculation about his potential retirement.

However, in an interview with Sky Sports, Bale has revealed that he won't retire any time soon.

"For a little while," he replied with a smile when asked if his retirement will be postponed after Wales' triumph against Ukraine.

"It's the greatest result in the history of Welsh football. We're going to a World Cup!

"Words can't describe how we feel at the moment.

"I'm just delighted we are going to a World Cup. It means everything, it's what dreams are made of. I'm speechless. I'm so glad we've done it for these amazing fans."

Offers for Bale

In his bid to stay in shape for the World Cup in Qatar, the Welshman is expected to carefully consider the offers which have already arrived from potential suitors.

"I've got a lot [of offers]," he replied after being asked whether he has attracted interest ahead of next season.
