Ever since he left Europe, Luka Doncic has kept his allegiances clear on which basketball team from the continent he supports. Real Madrid's basketball division trusted him to play for tham a few years and that was more than enough for the Spanish giants to keep Luka in the highest esteem. They always knew he would be leaving Real Madrid at some point because he was destined to become an NBA player. Now that he's been dominating the league for a few years, Florentino Perez's team has been nothing but supportive since he left. But the latest video they posted about him is a clear intention to sway support his way in a clearly contested race to win the NBA MVP award.

But actually winning the MVP this season won't be an easy task for Luka Doncic, there are at least two players on the current rankings who are above the Slovenian point guard. Real Madrid posting this video has a clear intention, they want people to show their public support in a complicated race to be the best player in the league. Doncic is playing at some of the highest levels we've seen from his entire career but he has remained consistent despite the Dallas Mavericks not getting too far in the Playoffs. Right now, thre is another two team sin the West with better chances than him to compete for a trophy.

Luka Doncic's chances to win the MVP

On the prospects list, there are two players who are currently above Luka Doncic in the NBA MVP race. The two players who are better positioned to get the award are his buddy Nikola Djokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Doncic currently ranks third on a list of prospects who could win the award. The rest of the list is composed by Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, Domantas Sabonis, Anthony Edwards, Jalen Brunson, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker. Ranking third on this prestigious list is already a massive achievement for Luka. But then again, nobody has a doubt in their mind he will someday win this award. Real Madrid are convinced Doncic will make history in the NBA.
