The Spanish winger could return to his homeland or move within Italy
At 28 years old, with 13 goals and five assists this season, Gerard Deulofeu is one of the most attractive wingers on the market this summer. Real Sociedad have got in contact with the forward, trying to bring him back to Spain. Deulofeu’s side, Udinese, were relegated to Serie B.
However it won’t be easy for them. His good numbers have woken up other clubs too, with Napoli following him and they may present an offer to him. Unai Emery likes him and Villarreal my spring for him too, while Premier League clubs are also interested. However Deulofeu is only tossing up whether to stay in Italy or go back to Spain.
Udinese want 15m euros for him but it seems they could accept closer to 10. In Italy they think he will go to Napoli but Real Sociedad’s arrival could change his mind. The issue for La Real would be trying to pay his high salary.
