England's World Cup heroes Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka are set for bumper paydays after their heroics in the Three Lions’ 6-2 thrashing of Iran.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Bellingham, 19, will be the subject of a mega-money bidding war with his club set to demand at least £130million for him when the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid come calling in the summer.

The former Birmingham City player ran the show against Iran, heading in his first international goal in Doha to start England’s scoring on Monday as they made their best ever start to a tournament.

And Saka, who struck twice against Iran for his first World Cup goals, is in talks to triple his £70,000-a-week wages at Premier League leaders Arsenal. 

The 21-year-old’s contract ends in 18 months and while Arsenal have an option to extend for another year, they would not be able to give Saka a deserved pay rise, which risks upsetting their academy graduate.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said towards the start of the season that he was confident Saka would sign a new deal.

But while talks are said to be progressing, the fact Arsenal failed to reach a deal with Saka before the start of the World Cup may complicate their attempts to sign the 21-year-old to fresh terms.

The forward’s current deal expires in 2024 but Arsenal have the option of his extending the contract by a further 12 months, so there is no immediate danger.

However, the Premier League club would prefer to tie their academy graduate down to a brand new contract.

But with Saka’s profile sky-rocketing after Monday’s performance, signing him to a new deal could become more costly.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is a huge fan of Saka and views the forward as the dream replacement for Raheem Sterling, who left for Chelsea earlier this year, and are watching developments closely.

Saka is happy at Arsenal and is a key part of a team that currently leads the Premier League.

The improvement under Arteta will strengthen Arsenal’s hopes of re-signing Saka, who is eager to play Champions League football.

Indeed, sources have indicated there remains a strong possibility of Saka committing his future to the Gunners, particularly given their positive progress this season.

Similarly, Bellingham’s future is entering a defining period as European football’s elite clubs look to lure him from Borussia Dortmund.

The Bundesliga club are resigned to losing the 19-year-old midfielder at the end of the season and want a deal worth at least £130million.

Dortmund hope their attempts to receive that fee will boosted by his performances here in Qatar.

All of England’s top clubs want Bellingham; with City, Manchester United and Chelsea moving themselves into position to strike in the summer.

Liverpool are long-term admirers and Jurgen Klopp’s relationship with Dortmund, the club he previously managed, should leave the Merseysiders with a good chance.

But the soaring costs of signing Bellingham, who will become one of the world’s best paid players under the age of 21 if he leaves this summer, is likely to prove prohibitive for the Anfield club.

Real Madrid are also interested in Bellingham and could afford the huge transfer fee and wages.

Saka and Bellingham are not the only England youngsters who are likely to see their earnings rocket in the coming months.

Mason Mount, 23, is in discussions over a new deal at Chelsea, which could see his wages reach £300,000-a-week.

Likewise, Declan Rice, 23, is set to leave West Ham at the end of the season with his existing deal due to expire in 2024.
