The Gunners have been hit by a number of injuries over the first few months of the season and fans are certainly expecting some action in the upcoming window.
Mail Sport reported earlier this month that the consistent injuries to Partey are of particular concern and a new midfielder is the priority for the Gunners.
'I heard that they were maybe looking for some midfielders especially because of Partey being injured at times,' Silva told Mirror Sport at the Web Summit in Lisbon, where he was promoting his new hate-free football social media platform, Striver.

Thomas Partey's injury problems have forced Arsenal to look at signing a new midfielder
'I'm not sure if it's 100 per cent going to happen but obviously, they have to be aware that this is a very short window and very specific.
'You have to be like a fisherman sometimes, to grab the right player that you really need that's going to help you to win games and to be useful for the rest of the season. Also to improve the way you play.
'It's not about sometimes bringing a player because you need [them]. Speaking to people there, Edu many times, they are working hard to have the data and what they think is right for the club in terms of targets.
'The market is very competitive as well, sometimes you have to be fast and not lose the opportunity.'
Mail Sport revealed earlier this month that the Gunners had been expected to seek a new forward in the next window - with Brentford striker Ivan Toney the club's priority target - but there are major concerns that Partey will miss a significant chunk of the season.
Mail Sport understands that the Ghana international recently underwent a minor treatment procedure as he continues to recover from a thigh injury.
The former Atletico Madrid man has been in a leg brace in hope of accelerating his recovery but there is now uncertainty about when he may be fit to return.
Partey is set to miss the rest of the year, at least, but the lack of clarity over when he may be available again means Arsenal are ready to change tact in the transfer market.
Silva urged Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to be 'very specific' with his January transfer business
