It's already been a challenging start to the season in both the Premier League and Fantasy Premier League for this United ace.
The Red Devils' once-marquee winger has spent the past months trying to rebuild bridges at Old Trafford.
It's believed manager Erik ten Hag had extended the England international an olive branch, and the player would be given a fresh start at the club – and more precisely, within the first team.
But after failing to make the squad for United's Premier League season opener last week – a 1-0 home win against Fulham – it looks likely he could fall out of favour with FPL managers, too, as he becomes the first player of the season to experience a price drop.
United's Jadon Sancho is the first player of the FPL season to experince a '£0.1m price drop'
Sancho was not in Ten Hag's matchday squad for the season opener against Fulham last week
According to Fantasy Football Fix, there has been just 'one minor adjustment in [the FPL] landscape' – and that's a £0.1m price drop for Jadon Sanchom, to £6.4million.
A blurb on the price drop stated: 'With limited playing time and no goals or assists this season, Sancho's FPL appeal remains low. United face Nottingham Forest (H), Arsenal (A), and Brighton (H) in their next three fixtures.'
Fantasy League players who have Sancho in their squad will hope his real-world fortunes will change for the better, as FPL player price drops (and increases), which is influenced by real-life player activity, affects the value of a fantasy teams.
This will ultimately impact future buying power FPL managers have for player transfers.
Sancho, 24, featured as a late substitute during United's Community Shield defeat by Manchester City – and missed his penalty – in mid August, but had been dropped altogether for the opening of the 2024-25 Premier League season.
Brazilian winger Antony, who unlike Sancho did not start any of the warm-up matches this summer and missed out at Wembley, is on the bench instead.
Sancho has been working his way back into United manager Erik ten Hag's first-team plans
United boss Erik ten Hag revealed he had 'drawn a line' under his public falling out with the forward after his return to first-team training in July.
Ten Hag had banished Sancho in September 2023 following a loss to Arsenal but extended an olive branch last month after discussions between the two men.
