Ivan Toney cut an awkward figure as he was serenaded by Al Ahli fans following his £40m transfer to the Saudi Pro League side.

The England international was previously tipped with making a potential £100m blockbuster move to Arsenal before a lack of offers eventually led to Brentford accepting a cut-price figure from Saudi Arabia.

Toney completed his departure from European football on Friday and has been getting to grips with his new surroundings in the Middle East where he was the latest high-profile star to join the developing league.

The 28-year-old has agreed a lucrative two-year contract that will see him significantly boost his earnings in-line with the riches promised by moving to Saudi Arabia.

Toney has been lauded by local fans after completing his move and a group of supporters chose to showcase their new chant to the striker that starred at Euro 2024 with England.

A clip of the ex-Bees star showed Toney arriving at a club shop where supporters were hoping to get a glimpse at their newest recruit who arrives after scoring four Premier League goals last season.

One individual accompanying the Northampton-born forward tries to get him to turn around where a group of fans are waiting, with Toney obliging and then a chorus breaking out.

Fans sing Toney's name to a slow chant, while another individual bangs on a table, and others joining in during the demonstration celebrating his arrival at the club.

He appears to be unconvinced by the new chant, standing with an awkward expression while attempting to nod along as the volume level continues to rise in the store.

Fans were quick to ridicule the hilarious exchange online, with one comment on X stating: 'No way they’ve turned bro into a song'.

Another comically added: 'Man’s just smiling about the millions he is about to make.'

Toney previously said farewell to his Brentford team-mates as he watched their dominant 3-1 weekend win over newly-promoted Southampton at St Marys.
