The Brazilian winger wants to swap Leeds United for Camp Nou this summer
Starting for Brazil at the World Cup in Qatar this year. That's one of the big things Rahpinha will have in mind when it comes to deciding his future this summer.
It's an argument that weighs in Barcelona's interest, without a doubt, as Ousmane Dembele looks set to move to Chelsea and coach Xavi Hernandez wants Leeds United's Raphinha as his replacement.
This Saturday, the Brazil international, wanted by Barça, spoke in a news conference in Tokyo, where Brazil are preparing for a friendly against Japan on Monday.
When asked about his future and the importance of the national team on his decision, he responded: "If I said it was not a factor, I would be lying, mainly knowing there are six months until the World Cup."
He continued: "I have to be playing wherever I am, that weighs on my decision, but I have confidence in my potential. At Leeds or elsewhere, I will give my best, look for my place in the team and try and be in shape for the World Cup."
Raphinha, who will do all he can to push through a move to Camp Nou, didn't want to give more details on his future.
"There is a game against Japan on Monday and then I will go on holiday," he said. "I have a contract with Leeds until 2024 and my future is in the hands of my agent, Deco, and Leeds.
"Now I am focused on the national team and this life game of the season, then on a break. We all need to rest. I have a contract and all other issues are dealt with by my agent. When something is closed, he informs me."
