Barcelona will go to bed this Saturday night as the leaders of LaLiga Santander, having eked out a 1-0 victory away at Real Mallorca.

Robert Lewandowski was the hero once again, with the Polish striker scoring for a sixth league game in a row in the first half of the match.

The game started with Barcelona struggling to break down Real Mallorca's back five, but Lewandowski unlocked it with a superb goal, stepping inside and curling a powerful effort into the far corner.

Barcelona forced to hold on against Real Mallorca

Barcelona, though, couldn't kill off the game and Real Mallorca performed well, with Jaume Costa having their best chance of the first half as he was able to reach a cross from just a few yards out, but Marc-Andre ter Stegen made a reflex save.

In the second half, Barcelona didn't create much in attack and they were left to hold on.

Real Mallorca pushed and pushed and had a couple of half chances for Vedat Muriqi, before Ter Stegen had to get a foot to a Lee Kang-in shot in the 90th minute to maintain the clean sheet.

The German goalkeeper set a new personal record of going 534 LaLiga Santander minutes without conceding a goal, which allows Barcelona to sit top of the pile ahead of Real Madrid vs Osasuna on Sunday.
