Simone Inzaghi faces a potentially decisive moment in his career as Inter coach when Barcelona arrive in Milan on Tuesday.

The Italian coach has overseen a dismal domestic run since the start of the season, with the Nerazzurri now sitting in ninth place in Serie A.

Their Champions League campaign can be rescued with positive results against the Blaugrana, yet the Italian coach was quick to point out the talent at Barcelona's disposal.

"They are very strong and complete, they are one of the three teams in Europe that play the best football," Inzaghi detailed in his pre-match press conference.

"We clearly know the importance of the match.

"They have incredible aggressiveness in ball recoveries and they know how to do everything in possession. They have also added Lewandowski, who is a great player."

When quizzed on his own position as Inter coach, the former Italian international spoke candidly about recent challenges.

"We know that we come from a difficult moment in terms of results," he added.

"In my opinion, we played well on Saturday and we deserved more.

"We already paid the price against Bayern Munich even though we played a good game, we have to expect more from everyone, including myself."

Barcelona will see a familiar face on Tuesday, with former La Masia student, Andre Onana, in line to start for Inter on Tuesday.

Lautaro Martinez is not expected to make the match with Inzaghi confirming he still has fitness concerns.

"This morning he passed a test, but he finished the last match with some fatigue," he continued.

"Today he will do a partial training session and we will see what condition he is in.

"I'm evaluating it one match at a time. Onana will start tomorrow."
