Barcelona pick Limak Construction to take on Camp Nou renovation work

The Turkish company have got the contract to develop Spotify Camp Nou

The FC Barcelona board of directors, chaired by the club's president, Joan Laporta, has announced that the construction company to take on the renovation of the Spotify Camp Nou will be Limak Construction.

The transformation of the stadium will start next June and the team will play at Montjuic throughout the next season, 2023/24, and the first part of 2024/25, something that will have a direct impact on the club's income.

The works, in fact, has already begun on the old stadium: the first phase of the partial demolition of the third tier of the South Goal, launched during the Qatar 2022 World Cup, has been completed. Currently, Camp Nou has a slightly reduced full capacity of 95,877.

Barça vice president Elena Fort has given more details about how the construction will go in terms the price of schedules.

The Barça board of directors stated that the remodeling will be finished in July 2026, while, in reference to the price, "it will be adjusted to [the budget that] was agreed."
