Deco meets with Barça target Iván Fresneda's agent

The Real Valladolid youngster is one of Barça's targets to strengthen their right-back position

The Barça market does not stop. Earlier today Deco met with one of the agents of the youngster Iván Fresneda, right-back of Real Valladolid. FC Barcelona intend to reinforce the right-back position, but all their transfer plans hinge on the outcome of the Financial Fair Play, as reminded by Xavi in a press conference this Thursday morning.

In this position, Fresneda is someone the club admires and took the first step today. Verdú, one of the player's agents met with Deco, as reported by Jijantes. The player from Madrid has a release clause of 20 million euros.

One of the next steps for FC Barcelona will be to contact Real Valladolid, who are yet to receive an offer from Barça.

Sources close to Fresneda claim that other teams are interested and would even be willing to offer 15 million euros, which is not encouraging for the Blaugrana interests.

Right now Xavi Hernandez does not have a natural right-back and the position has been covered by Koundé, Roberto and Araújo.
