The Dutchman is even more impressive in person, the Portugal star said

Barcelona forward Joao Felix says Frenkie de Jong is the player that has most surprised him since he joined the club. 

Felix signed on loan from Atletico and, while he knew all about De Jong, he didn't realise just how good the Dutchman was. 

"Frenkie has surprised me the most," Felix said ahead of Wednesday's Champions League game against Porto back in his native Portugal. 

"I had seen him play and on TV, but in person you have another perspective of his game, how he thinks, his control with the ball, how he finds the space... he is the player that surprised me the most." 

Barça beat Royal Antwerp 5-0 in their first Champions League game this season and Felix says the immediate objective is to get out of the group -- something the Blaugrana failed to do in each of the last two years. 

"We have a clear objective to get through the group," the Portuguese international added. 

"Barça will always be among the candidates in the Champions League, but we are going step by step. We had a good win in the first game; now we have maybe the most difficult group game. 

"We are not thinking too far ahead, but it is obvious we want to get Barça back among the favourites in this competition."
