The match between Barcelona and Real Mallorca was not just another game in the history of the club, Lamine Yamal, or soccer.

Although Barça emerged victorious from the match with a 3-0 win at Spotify Camp Nou, it was the goal scored by the club's young talent that stole the show, making history and even surpassing Kylian Mbappé.

Yamal continues to break records

Robert Lewandowski (29') and Marc Bernal (83') were the other two scorers who gave the Catalan club the victory, but Lamine's goal in the 61st minute of the match established him as the player in Europe's five major leagues with the most goals scored before turning 19, with a total of 24 goals.

In doing so, he surpassed Mbappé's 23 goals for AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain and, unlike the French star, all of Yamal's goals have come in the same shirt.

As if that weren't enough, Lamine scored in his fifth consecutive game for Barça, having previously found the net against Mallorca, Albacete Balompié, Elche CF, FC Copenhagen, and Real Oviedo.

In this way, the young player has confirmed that he has become a key part of the Barça offense, drawing comparisons to club legends such as Lionel Messi, but writing his own story.

At 18, he has already won two LaLiga titles, two Spanish Super Cups, and one Copa del Rey with Barça, in addition to several individual titles such as the Kopa Trophy and Golden Boy.

This season, he has played a total of 30 games, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists.

Meanwhile, Lamine and Barcelona are preparing to face Atlético Madrid on Thursday, February 12, in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium. In the second leg, the reigning champions of the competition will host their rivals at Spotify Camp Nou on March 3.
