Bellingham, Gavi and Pedri the most valuable youth players in the world

A new study by CIES has highlighted the best young talent around

English midfielder Jude Bellingham has a value of 211.3 million euros according to CIES Football Observatory, who have published a report on the best U21 players in the world.

They rate Pedri at 169.8m and Gavi at 159.8, meaning Barcelona have two huge financial assets in midfield.

The study looked at 200 players born in 2002 or more recently, analysing their minutes played, performances and more.

Jamal Musiala of Bayern is 158.4m, another top midfielder.

The most promising goalkeeper is Genk's Maarten Vandevoordt, at 18.1m.

In defence, Lyon's Castello Lukeba is top, worth 37m, followed by Guadalajara's Jesus Orozco, at 5.4m and Leipzig's Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol.

At full-back, New York RB's John Tolkein is highlighted (5.1m), along with Barca's Alejandro Balde (16.5m), Friburg's Kiliann Sildillia (5.4m), PSG's Nuno Mendes (66m), Salzburg's Amar Dedic (6.6m), and Nantes's Quentin Merlin (19.1m), his French compatriot Malo Gusto (19.6m) at Lyon and Girona's Arnau Martinez (9.4m).

CIES say the most promising defensive midfielder is Sao Paulo's Pablo Maia (10.3m), with Eduardo Camavinga (82.9m) behind him.

The best wingers, they say, are Arsenal Sarandi's Facundo Kruspzky, who CIES gave no market value, Millonarios's Andres Gomez's (8.1m), Bayern's Adam Hlocek (29.8m), Eintracht Frankfurt's Ansgar Knauff and Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams (26.5m).
