The Union Berlin fairytale continued in the Bundesliga on Saturday, as the surprise title challengers piled the pressure on Bayern Munich at the top of the table, with the Bavarian club dropping two vital points in their own game.
Julian Nagelsmann's charges welcomed Eintracht Frankfurt to the Allianz Arena for a match they were expected to win comfortably, but once again they fell apart.
It has been an uncomfortable theme for the former RB Leipzig coach, and one which has him sweating over his future prospects in Munich.
However, the match actually started positively for the hosts, when Leroy Sane put them into a 1-0 lead. A fine pass found the winger in acres of space inside the penalty area, and he was able to power a shot beyond the helpless goalkeeper.
It was a lead that Bayern Munich deserved, but they hadn't been outstanding by any means.
Concentration lapses continue to impact Bayern Munich
Having hoped his team would see out the job in the second half, Nagelsmann was left visibly frustrated by a lack of concentration which ultimately cost the German champions two points.
Daichi Kamada set up a chance for Randal Kolo Muani in the 69th minute of the game, and the talented French youngster didn't need a second invitation. The Japanese international found him with a clever slide rule pass inside the box, and he placed a shot into the bottom corner beyond Sommer.
It was a well-taken goal but the poor marking inside the penalty area didn't reflect well on Bayern Munich's defensive structure.
The match ended without any real surge of offense from the hosts, and their lead at the top over Union Berlin now stands at just one solitary point.
