Richarlison netted his first goals for Tottenham as the Brazilian's brace helped secure a 2-0 Champions League victory over Marseille on Tuesday night.

The French side frustrated Antonio Conte's men for large parts of the Group G encounter, especially after going a man down after Chancel Mbemba's sending off after 47 minutes.

Up to that point, Marseille often looked the more settled side in possession as Spurs struggled to carve out much in terms of chances.

Mbemba's sending off proved the turning point, with the centre back shown red for his professional foul on Son Heung-min.

Although it took Tottenham longer than they may have liked, they eventually made the breakthrough with 14 minutes remaining, Richarlison's powerful header from an Ivan Perisic cross leaving Pau Lopez with no chance.

The goal was the Brazilian's first since joining from Everton in the summer, but he needed just five minutes to double his tally.

Richarlison met Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's cross at the far post to wrap up proceedings, and secure three points for Conte's men.
