Real Madrid will be taking on Shakhtar Donetsk in Matchday 3 of the Champions League group stage on Wednesday evening and they can take a huge step towards the last 16 with a win.

Carlo Ancelotti's side have six points from their first two games against Celtic and RB Leipzig and now they will be taking on Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, who have got four points.

Real Madrid come into this one with the majority of their key players available. Luka Modric is a doubt, though, as he is recovering from a hip injury, while Eduardo Camavinga and Thibaut Courtois are also recovering from injuries.

Shakhtar have got one major injury and that is to Viktor Korniienko, who is not expected back until February 2023. They will be banking on Mykhalyo Mudryk to perform like he did in the 4-1 win away at Leipzig.
