Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be inching ever closer to a move to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr, after his contract with Manchester United was terminated following a tense few months at the English outfit.
However, it doesn't look like the move was the one the Portuguese star was angling for.
"Cristiano's arrival in Saudi Arabia is a possibility."
Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wanted to continue playing at the highest level and, since his departure, he has tried to find a top club to play in the Champions League, but without much success.
The Eintrach Frankfurt president confirms Cristiano Ronaldo's offer
This was confirmed by Eintrach Frankfurt president Axel Hellmann in an interview for DAZN.
"He was even offered to us," Hellmann told DAZN.
"I have the feeling he was offered to every Champions League club."
Eintracht Frankfurt made it out of their Champions League group and will face Napoli in the next round, but not with the Portuguese forward.
It looks like Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Europe
Despite all his offers to Champions League clubs, the Portuguese's future is likely to be far from Europe, meaning that his time as a top-level footballer is now drawing to a close.
Cristiano Ronaldo has not yet given his definitive yes to Al Nassr and the Saudi Arabian club are waiting for the Portuguese star to give the green light to the proposal, something that shouldn't take much longer.
