In a lapse of concentration on the flank after a cross from Russian player Golovin, Balogun appeared alone inside the area and only had to push the ball into the net to score the first goal of the match.

Balogun's brace in the Champions League
Taking advantage of the fact that the Parisian side was out of place, Monaco went on the attack in search of a second goal. It came in the 18th minute, again with a precise finish from Balogun, who scored his first brace in the Champions League.
After a precise filtered pass, Balogun was left alone in front of the goal to finish past the goalkeeper, causing a roar in the Stade Louis II
PSG equalise
After that excellent start for Monaco, PSG began to regain their memory and balance the game from midfield. In the 29th minute, the equalizer came with a goal from the young Desire Doue
With a brilliant shot against the post, Doue completed the comeback for PSG, who were already without Dembele on the pitch due to a substitution forced by a new injury.
In the 41st minute, Achraf Hakimi, one of the greatest players in PSG history, scored the equaliser: after a rebound inside the area, the full-back sent the ball into the net to send the match into half-time at 2-2.
