Erling the ice cream man: Haaland serves the sweet treat to incredulous fans in pyjamas

Never mind Istanbul! Never mind Ibiza! Never mind an open-top bus parade in Manchester followed by a night on the town. The best way to celebrate a Champions League / treble victory is unlimited ice-cream.

After the aforementioned party had all but been wrapped up, Erling Haaland decided he wasn't done quite yet. The celebrations had to go on, this time, in the form of ice cream. In fact, according to The Sun, during the fourth straight night of partying, now back in Manchester, Haaland decided to take a quick break and board an ice cream truck after spotting it go by.

Ice crem man Ejaz Amam was doing his usual route in Manchester when Haaland jumped aboard and started serving himself and locals ice cream.

"Then Haaland came to me, and he goes 'I want slush, but only the blue one'. Then he goes, 'let me come in' and I go 'yeah, come in'. He came in and he served ice cream and slush to 10 to 15 people, and then he made his own ice cream with slush on top of it and he said my ice cream was 'unbelievable,'" explained Ejaz to The Oldham Times.

It turns out that Ejaz had already shut up shop for the night and initially turned City's number 9 down, not realizing that it was arguably the best striker on the planet knocking on his door.

"He came to me about 12.30, I didn't see him at first, so I said 'no, no I'm closed, I'm not serving anymore'. There was somebody else with him and he went 'Are you not serving Haaland, City player?' I go 'oh no no, no, no, come on, it's open for you 24/7, you can come any time," explained the ice cream man.

After letting Haaland in, the striker started making slushies and ice creams, both for himself and for members of the public. "I was really happy, to be honest, my God. Really, really. I got appreciated, I got big respect yesterday," concluded Ejaz.
