Chris Sutton says Moises Caicedo's social media post asking Brighton to let him leave the club before the January transfer window closes was 'downright stupid'.
Caicedo took to Instagram to tell Brighton he wanted to 'take up' the 'magnificent opportunity' presented to him by the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.
The 21-year-old said he was 'grateful' to Brighton' but decided to take matters into his own hands after the Seagulls rejected bids from the Premier League giants.

When discussing the youngster's decision making, Sutton said: 'Moises Caicedo is either being very badly advised or he's an idiot.'
Sutton went on to add: 'That social media post was downright stupid. He's seen what Leandro Trossard did to get to Arsenal and he's copying him. But Brighton have every right to be standing firm on their £80m valuation.'
