Nottingham Forest have submitted a bid worth £25m for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.
Though not quite as prolific as they were following their promotion campaign, Steve Cooper's side have welcomed a number of new arrivals this summer including Anthony Elanga, Matt Turner and Chris Wood.
But a latest bid could see the FA Cup winner join the City Ground side on deadline day.
Despite making 33 appearances in all competitions last summer, Chalobah has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
A hamstring injury curtailed Chalobah's pre-season preparations while Mauricio Pochettino has overseen an influx of new signings after been named the club's new boss in May.

Bayern Munich are also chasing a late deal for the 24-year-old, with Thomas Tuchel keen on reuniting with Chalobah
Chalobah has yet to be named in a matchday squad under Pochettino, and last appeared in the final day of the 22-23 campaign, starting at home to Newcastle before being replaced at half-time as the Blues' dismal season ended in a draw.
Bayern Munich have also been keeping tabs on the former England youth international, with Thomas Tuchel a keen admirer of the 24-year-old, having handed him his senior debut during his time as Blues boss.
Chalobah's ability to occupy several positions defensively makes him a useful addition for the Bundesliga giants, as they prepare for a congested campaign as they look to compete for silverware both domestically and in Europe.
The defender is keen for a move away from his boyhood club, and Chelsea are equally eager to complete the deal as long as their valuation is met.
