Keira Knightley took a break from her busy filming schedule on Monday as she ventured out with husband James Righton and their two children - after revealing plans to copyright her own face.

The British actress was hand-in-hand with youngest child Delilah, four, as the family made an appearance in leafy north-west London enclave Hampstead.

She was accompanied by musician James - best known for his work with disbanded group The Klaxons - and the couple's eldest child Edie, eight.

Dressed down in a denim shirt, cropped jeans and Chelsea boots, Keira, 38, blended in with oblivious pedestrians as exited a local tube station and made their way towards their car.

Joining the Pirates Of The Caribbean star, James, 40, looked equally relaxed in a black T-shirt and jeans, a blue sweater tied around his waist.

Keira and James were married in 2013 in the South of France, where she wore Chanel couture as they exchanged vows in front of eleven guests.

The actress was enjoying some valuable free time with her family as she prepares to film new Netflix drama Black Doves over the coming weeks.

The forthcoming series is set over the Christmas period and will feature Keira as Helen, a woman with a secret identity who embarks on a torrid affair.

But she is faced with a conundrum after he is targeted by members of the London underworld, prompting her panicked employers to call in a security guard in a bid to protect her.

The actress recently hit out at the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence in film, a reactionary measure by studios to replace actors still embroiled in SAG-AFTRA strikes across the United States.

Addressing the growing trend, Keira admitted she might be forced into preventative action by copyrighting her face - thereby preventing its unauthorised use.

She said: 'At the moment for actresses, the concern is about the voice, and they're trying to protect the voice-over industry.

'I don't know where that's at but I know that's the negotiation. But I imagine the next step will be to copyright my face.

'AI has the potential to be catastrophic and I hope governments come in and regulate it,' she added.

Studios including the likes of Amazon, Netflix and Apple are proposing to use AI to replace humans with digital scans where an actor's likeness can be superimposed over a stunt double.

Hollywood actors and writers are currently united in their first 'double strike' in more than 60 years vowing they will protect every worker in the industry from being replaced by AI.

It comes as celebrities are increasingly targets of deepfake technology, which can use their voices and likeness for everything from advertisements to sham songs and pornography.

Actor Bruce Willis, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in March last year, was deep-faked into 'appearing' in an ad where he was tied to a bomb on the back of a yacht, growling Mississippi in a Russian accent.

The question, 'Who owns Bruce Willis' became a concern for SAG-AFTRA last year and began fighting against contracts that exploited their member's naivety about AI.

Keira, who recently starred in Ridley Scott's Boston Strangler, will not allow herself to be replicated and likes to have control over her projects.

The Bend It Like Beckham star has 55 five films under her belt and recently worked with Ridley Scott for his project the Boston Strangler which was well-received by critics.

She recently dropped out of starring in the Apple TV adaptation of Sarah Perry's historical novel The Essex Serpent to be with her family when COVID restrictions made getting childcare difficult.
