Poch departure splits opinion among Blues fans

It's fair to say there are some mixed emotions over Pochettino's exit.

Blues had FINALLY found form

It's no secret that Chelsea struggled in the opening stages of the season under Pochettino.

The Blues picked up just one win from their first six Premier League games and were subjected to mid-table obscurity for most the campaign.

However, in recent weeks, Chelsea have looked rather good under the Argentine and had really started to click on the pitch.

The Blues went undefeated in their final six games of the season - winning five of those matches - and qualified for the Europa League.

Pochettino leaves after internal review

Mail Sport can reveal that Pochettino has left Chelsea following an internal review from sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart as well as co-controlling owner Behdad Eghbali.

Pochettino had dinner with owner-chairman Todd Boehly in London on Friday – the night before the final game of the season – but was offered no assurances over what would happen to him in the next week.

In meetings with Winstanley, Stewart and Eghbali earlier this week, it was agreed that the manager and club should part ways despite his contract still having a year to run.
