Raheem Sterling has been the subject of an enquiry from Juventus amid uncertainty over his future.
Mail Sport exclusively revealed on Sunday - through a statement from his representatives - that the Chelsea forward was seeking clarity over his future after being left out of Enzo Maresca’s first match-day squad for the game versus Manchester City on Sunday.
Sterling was given the weekend off following the decision for him not to be included in the squad to face Manchester City.
But sources on Monday were indicating that there has been movement to schedule talks with a view to resolving the simmering situation, which was the desired out come of the decision to release Sunday’s statement.
Prior to Sunday’s furore, Italian side Juventus had registered an interest with Chelsea in the 29-year-old forward.

Juventus, managed by Thiago Motta, are considering a possible move for Sterling
It is understood the Turin club would need to lighten their current wage bill before making a concrete move for Sterling, with forward Federico Chiesa among the players who could leave.
It remains to be seen whether Sterling would be prepared to uproot his young family, who are understood to be fully settled in London, for a move to Italy.
Nevertheless it is becoming increasingly clear that Chelsea are keen to offload the player they signed from Manchester City in 2022 for £47.5million.
Chelsea are fully open to offloading Sterling before the transfer deadline, a move that would allow them to save on his reported £325,000-per-week wages.

Indeed, head coach Enzo Maresca indicated to Sterling in training last week that his chances of playing would be limited and that he should start considering alternatives.
The fact Chelsea are close to completing their swoop for forward Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid will add further competition in attacking areas.
Sterling has attracted interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, but as things stand the England attacker is unwilling to take such a step in his career.
Given his salary, the number of realistic options Sterling will have are limited which could see Chelsea having to pay part of his wages in order to move him.
