Statisticians have revealed the most valuable footballer at every club and their picks for some of the country's top sides will surprise you.

Rasmus Hojlund is Manchester United's most valuable player, according to The CIES Football Observatory, with the Danish striker worth up to £101million.

And Liverpool's most-prized footballer is no less of a shock with Darwin Nunez coming out on top, valued at between £72m and £92m.

As for the world's priciest star, Jude Bellingham continues to lead the way and would become the most expensive player of all time at up to £236m if any club was to try to sign him.

This has been calculated by looking into the value of more than 6,000 transfer deals and the prices paid in the past for footballers with similar characteristics.

Hojlund, 21, joined the Red Devils from Atalanta last summer for £72m but has thus far failed to set Old Trafford alight, scoring 16 times in 43 matches and just 10 times in the Premier League.

Nunez, meanwhile, has endured a couple of tricky seasons at Liverpool since he arrived from Benfica two years ago in a deal worth up to £85m.

The 25-year-old bagged just 15 goals in his first campaign and 18 last season, despite receiving a litany of clear-cut chances.

Bellingham broke out at Birmingham when he became the youngest player to ever make an appearance for the side at just 16 years and 38 days old.

His star has been rising ever since and, following his initial £88.5m move to Real Madrid last summer, he has added the La Liga and Champions League trophies to his cabinet.

Now being worth almost three times what Los Blancos paid for him, Bellingham has certainly proved value for money for the Spanish outfit.

Just behind the Englishman in second is Man City frontman Erling Haaland who is priced at £171m to £217m. There's every chance, however, that these numbers could be soaring by the day with the Norwegian already striking seven times in the first three games.

Most of CIES' picks are unsurprising with Bukayo Saka, worth between £115m and £147m, and Cole Palmer, between £84m and £108m, chosen as Arsenal and Chelsea's most-prized assets.

Swedish striker Alexander Isak is Newcastle's most valuable player, setting back a potential buyer between £64m and £81m, while West Ham's main man is Mohammed Kudus (£60m-77m).

Tottenham fans may be raising their eyebrows at their priciest star, according to the statisticians. James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Dominic Solanke, and Heung-Min Son all get snubbed in favour of... Destiny Udogie.

The Italian left-back arrived in north London in 2022 from Udinese for just £15m but his value has already soared to between £55m and £70m.

Making up the rest of the upper echelons of the list are stars from outside the Premier League.

Lamine Yamal starts his first season with the Barcelona first-team as the Catalan side's most valuable man with the 17-year-old worth between £111m and £141m.

Julian Alvarez (£98m-£124m) is Atletico Madrid's priciest star having joined from City for just £63m, while Florian Wirtz leads the way for Bayer Leverkusen at a value between £83m and £113m.

Jamal Musiala (£80m-£102m) is the main man for Bayern Munich and is valued at the same price as Lautaro Martinez, who is Inter Milan's most expensive footballer.
