Pochettino's parting comments...
In a statement on the club website, Mauricio Pochettino said:
'Thank you to the Chelsea ownership group and Sporting Directors for the opportunity to be part of this football club's history. The Club is now well positioned to keep moving forward in the Premier League and Europe in the years to come.'
Chelsea sporting directors thank Pochettino in club statement
In a statement on the club website, Sporting Directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley said:
'On behalf of everyone at Chelsea, we would like to express our gratitude to Mauricio for his service this season. He will be welcome back to Stamford Bridge any time and we wish him all the very best in his future coaching career.'
Poch departure splits opinion among Blues fans
It's fair to say there are some mixed emotions over Pochettino's exit.
Not many would have seen this coming (late on a Tuesday evening) and the news has certainly shocked a few supporters.
However, there is also a large portion of the fanbase that are glad to see the back of the Argentine - given their struggles early in his tenure.

Blues had FINALLY found form
It's no secret that Chelsea struggled in the opening stages of the season under Pochettino.
The Blues picked up just one win from their first six Premier League games and were subjected to mid-table obscurity for most the campaign.
However, in recent weeks, Chelsea have looked rather good under the Argentine and had really started to click on the pitch.
The Blues went undefeated in their final six games of the season - winning five of those matches - and qualified for the Europa League.
Pochettino leaves after internal review
Mail Sport can reveal that Pochettino has left Chelsea following an internal review from sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart as well as co-controlling owner Behdad Eghbali.
Pochettino had dinner with owner-chairman Todd Boehly in London on Friday – the night before the final game of the season – but was offered no assurances over what would happen to him in the next week.
In meetings with Winstanley, Stewart and Eghbali earlier this week, it was agreed that the manager and club should part ways despite his contract still having a year to run.
