Alice Campello is involved in awkward photo gaffe after her split from long-term partner Alvaro Morata - as fans spot how she is cutting the Spain captain out of her life

Alvaro Morata's former partner Alice Campello has been caught out with an awkward photo gaffe following her split from the Spain captain. 

The former Chelsea striker, 31, and Alice, 29, separated in mid-August after seven years of marriage, during which time they had four children.

They have insisted they still love each other and have sought to dismiss any scurrilous rumours - or 'bulls***', the phrase Campello deployed - after Morata was accused of being in explicit photographs with another woman.

Divorce proceedings are thought to have been underway, with Alvaro keen to avoid court if possible in an amicable break-up from his long-term partner.

Things were made a little more awkward recently, however, when Alex was caught changing the photos on her wall - and taking down a snap of her and her soon-to-be former husband.

Alice has shown on social media how she has made changes to her office recently, though eagle-eyed followers noticed that she was cutting out Alvaro.

At the back of her office, Alice has regularly shown off a picture wall, showing photos of herself, her friends and her family.

She showed off a snap putting up a new photo to the wall, though fans noticed that it was replacing a magazine cover of herself and Alvaro.

Alice moved quickly to delete the photo, but followers had already taken screenshots of the snap.

Via Marca, the duo had a 'fight' on the pitch after Spain had beaten England in the Euro 2024 final in Germany, and things went downhill rapidly from there.

It is reported that Alice was keen for only herself, her children and her friends to be on the pitch to celebrate with Morata, and didn't want the Spain captain's parents or family present, leading to the slide of their relationship.

Morata recently signed for AC Milan in Italy after two years at Atletico Madrid, and recently revealed that he felt compelled to 'flee' his homeland.

'I am tired of people saying that I was unfaithful to Alice because I didn't even go to the national team party so that this type of rumour wouldn't arise,' Morata told D Corazon on La 1 via AS on reports of potential reasons for their separation.

'Since then I haven't spoken to anyone out of respect for her and so that this type of news doesn't arise.

'I am devastated. I have fled Spain because I cannot bear the pressure and criticism any longer.'

On the show, Morata insisted that he and Campello have a 'very good relationship because of our four children' but that their break-up is irreversible.

Just two weeks before their split the pair were spotted kissing on a beach during a family holiday in Sardinia.
