Brentford manager Thomas Frank praised the 'crazy' mentality of his side after their dramatic comeback to claim a 2-2 draw against Leicester.

The Foxes were set for victory in their opening game of the Premier League campaign after goals from Timothy Castagne and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall gave Brendan Rodgers' side a two-goal lead.

However, Frank's charges halved the deficit in the 62nd minute via an emphatic finish from talisman Ivan Toney.

The Bees boss made use of all five changes available to him in the second half, and it paid off as substitute Josh Dasilva produced a terrific strike to draw the two sides level with just four minutes remaining.

The fightback displayed the resolve that Frank has instilled during his tenure in west London and the Danish manager was full of praise for his side after the full-time whistle.

Frank said: 'I just think this group of players, they just have so much determination and their mentality is crazy in the way they worked their way back into the game.

'Of course we made a few changes and changes to the system with a lot of offensive players, but that's something we've been practising, and we've wanted to do.

'Then the way it paid off was a fantastic feeling, especially with the story of Josh Dasilva.'

The equaliser was the 23-year-old's first ever Premier League goal and Frank stated that it was a landmark moment for the Bees midfielder.

Dasilva returned to action in February having been sidelined for 18 months due to a career-threatening hip problem followed by a hamstring injury.

The Brentford boss said: 'When he first scored I'm just very happy of course for the equaliser because every point in the Premier League you have to fight so hard for.

'But after the game in the dressing room I thought about Josh and I wanted to say some nice words to him.

'It was emotional because he's been out for 18 months, he's a player and a person I've worked with for four years. He's a fantastic person.

'Seeing him coming back to the level we know, producing that top moment which also gave us a point, was very emotional and I'm very pleased for him.'

It is a clash with Manchester United at the Brentford Community Stadium up next for Brentford.
