Erling Haaland has hit the ground running in the Premier League, already earning plaudits by TV pundits for his performances at Manchester City so far this season.
The former Borussia Dortmund striker has mustered as many as nine goals in his team's first five league games of the season, having already scored two hat-tricks.
"I repeat; This fella is going to break virtually every goalscoring record there is," commented former England striker Michael Owen.
"He's too big, too quick, clinical in front of goal and he's playing in a team that create dozens of chances. All he needs to do is stay fit."
Owen was not the only one to have words of admiration for Haaland on social media. Another legendary striker, Gary Lineker, was full of praise for the Norway international, who was also hailed by his coach, Pep Guardiola.
"When City bought Erling, everybody talked about what he has done in the past," the Catalan coach said.
"What we wanted to do is help him. Hopefully he can enjoy and score more goals.
"What he has done in Norway, Austria and Germany he tries to do here. He's talented, we knew it."
Kun Aguero and becoming a Man City legend
Guardiola went on to stress that Haaland has what is takes to follow into Sergio Aguero's footsteps and become a Manchester City legend.
"Sergio is the legend," Guardiola added.
"Nobody can break the position in the hearts of City fans, scoring the most important goal in the modern history.
"Erling has the quality to be there. It's not about him or Sergio. What Sergio has done is amazing. But Erling has this talent."
