Liverpool are still going strong in the Premier League, notching their fifth consecutive win on Sunday after downing West Ham 3-1.

After a down year last season that saw the Reds fail to even qualify for the Champions League, Jurgen Klopp's men have turned things around in 2023/24.

That was clear for all to see against West Ham, who have lost two in a row after losing to Manchester City last week.

Liverpool's win was aided by a great goal by Darwin Nunez, who took advantage of a brilliant pass from Alexis Mac Allister over the Hammers' backline.

Prior to that, Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the lead when he converted from the penalty spot after winning the penalty himself.

In the 42nd minute, Bowen equalized for West Ham when he took advantage of a good cross from Coufal. He beat Van Dijk to the ball and fired past Alisson.

Shortly after, West Ham thought they had taken the lead when Curtis Jones scored, but his goal was ruled out for offside after being reviewed by the VAR.

In the second half, Nunez missed a clear-cut chance created by Mohamed Salah in the 53rd minute, but made up for the error with one of the goals of the day in the 60th minute.

Diogo Jota finished off the win for the Anfield side in the 85th minute, meaning the Reds now sit in second place, two points behind City.
