Chelsea sideline Enzo Fernandez after his desire to live in Madrid

Chelsea will play the FA Cup quarter-final tomorrow without Enzo Fernandez, who has been punished by the club. This is how coach Liam Rosenior referred to this fact in the preview of the match: "I spoke to Enzo an hour ago. As a club, and me being part of the decision, he will not be available for either tomorrow's game or the Manchester City game. A line has been crossed in terms of the culture and what we want to build."

The Argentine showed on a podcast his desire to live in Madrid and that has not gone down well with the London club. "The players were motivated because they believed we could do something special in the Champions League. Enzo's comments and Marc Cucurella's interview come from there. Actually, they are born from a good desire for the club to succeed, but at those moments, we need more emotional stability as a group," he said.

Chelsea are not going through their best moment after being eliminated from the Champions League by PSG: "It's not an ideal situation. All this comes from about 10 difficult days in terms of results, probably the most difficult for me as a player or coach. I remember the first game against Paris Saint-Germain. Everything came crashing down in 15 minutes and there was a huge emotional downturn that we dragged into the next three games."
