Following his summer move from Inter to Marseille, Alexis Sanchez is trying to win over his new fanbase and performances like the one he produced this Sunday will certainly help.
The Chilean scored twice during his side's 3-0 victory over Nice, a result that means Marseille have 10 points from their first four Ligue 1 matches, leaving them top of the standings for now.
For the forward, this was his third outing for his new club after previously participating in games against Stade Brestois and Nantes, which finished as a 1-1 draw and 2-1 win respectively.
But, Sunday's match at the Allianz Riviera was his first direct impact on the scoresheet.
Alexis was the one to open the scoring in the 10th minute, firing high and into Kasper Schmeichel's top corner after being fed by Jonathan Clauss.
Nuno Tavares doubled the lead for the visiting side, before Alexis tripled it in the 42nd minute, pouncing on a rebound after Schmeichel had saved from Tavares.
That first half performance was enough for Marseille to win the game 3-0, keeping up their positive start to the campaign.
