The reasons for his discontent were revealed by L'Equipe

The trouble between PSG and Kylian Mbappe continues. After the ‘bomb’ Marca published about him wanting to leave, now L’Equipe has explained why. The French club delayed his September salary without warning or explanation.

Per the report, on October 11, he had not received any payment. In the following days he received a bit of the salary but not the whole thing.

His people asked for explanations from the club but did not receive convincing ones. Cash flow issues and FFP rules was what they heard.

Mbappe signed a new deal with PSG this summer for three years, making him the best-paid sports person in the World. He earns 70m a year, plus a 180m loyalty bonus for staying and other loyalty extras.

Le Parisien has explained that within the club exists worry about these numbers and the viability of maintaining the contract. Over the three years he will pick up 630 million euros.
