The Phoenix Suns forward is reportedly set to expand his business portfolio by purchasing a minority stake in Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), one of Europe's most prestigious soccer clubs.

According to reports from Romain Molina and confirmation by renowned soccer insider Fabrizio Romano, Durant's investment in PSG marks his latest venture into the world of sports ownership.

The move places him alongside fellow American athletes like LeBron James, who holds a stake in Liverpool F.C., and former NFL stars J.J. Watt and Tom Brady, who have invested in Burnley F.C. and Birmingham City F.C., respectively.

PSG, which has dominated the French Ligue 1 with 10 championships since 2012, is a powerhouse in European soccer.

The club, owned by Qatar Sports Investments since 2011, was valued at approximately $5.7 billion in 2023.

With Durant's involvement, PSG is poised to enhance its brand presence in the United States, potentially paving the way for a Ligue 1 TV rights deal in America, where the league currently lacks a broadcast partner.

Durant's foray into soccer ownership follows his co-ownership of a pickleball team, a venture he shares with notable figures like Drake, Michael B. Jordan, and Rich Kleiman.

"As I get older in the league and the league is getting younger, I tend to think about retirement more," Durant said in a recent interview with TV One.

"[Retirement] creeps in my mind for sure. I honestly don't know what I'll do [when I stop playing]. I have a lot of different interests. I definitely want to stay around the game... That's gonna be a huge, huge transition."

Despite his contemplations, Durant's immediate future lies with the Phoenix Suns, where he has two fully guaranteed years left on his contract.

Whether he will extend his stay in Phoenix or seek a final championship run elsewhere remains to be seen.

However, Durant has expressed his affection for the Suns and the city of Phoenix, stating, "I love playing in Phoenix, I love our fans, I love the city... One day, I would like to receive the franchise's Ring of Honor."
