PSG showed absolute superiority throughout the match as they took on Strasbourg and their possession and domination got them the win.
'Les Bleus', led by a great performance from Kylian Mbappe, did not forgive their opponents on home turf.
Mbappe and Soler, the perfect duo
In the 8th minute, Junior Mwanga, who arrived late to the ball, made a hard tackle on Goncalo Ramos, knocking him down inside the area and conceding a clear penalty in favor of the Parisian team.
Mbappe was in charge of the spot kick and gave the goalkeeper no chance with a perfectly executed shot.
The joy did not last long for Luis Enrique's team and in the 13th minute Strasbourg made it 1-1 after a corner to the far post in which the PSG defence looked lost at sea.
But Carlos Soler was ready and jumped to leave Mothiba offside, with the goal being disallowed by VAR for an infringing position.
Fifteen minutes before halftime, Soler received the ball from Mbappe, after a play of pure quality by the Frenchman, and shot with great aplomb inside the box to score into the top right corner.
PSG take the spoils at home
The second half began without any changes from either side and PSG continued to be far superior and in control of the match.
Luis Enrique's men kept trying to try to increase the gap on the scoreboard and Strasbourg, without much choice, had a few chances from set pieces but could not find the back of the net.
In the 80th minute came the third goal of the local team as Fabian Ruiz's sensational play ended with a shot inside the area.
The Spaniard finished with precision and the ball went into the left corner, with no option for Sels, and sentencing the match in favor of the hosts.
